Praise the Lord!

 This section will be solely devoted to my hair journal and for my children. It has been a long road to transitioning from relaxed to natural hair, and I would like to share my story with those who have been there before or who are going through that same VALLEY OF DECISION. My goal is to inspire my children to embrace their natural twirls and curls just the way God made them. There are so many beautiful things you can do with natural hair.








 I have been personally Transitioning for 6 years. Yes, that's right, 6 years. The day I made up in my mind to not relax my hair anymore, I just let it grow, grow, grow, and that was about 6 years ago. So, I would like to say that I am living proof that you do not have to cut your hair to transition. And truth be told, my hair is longer now that it has ever been in my life.

Praise the Lord, Meet my daughter L. Today we celebrated her 3rd Birthday. She had a blast! She is my little go getter. Sometimes she'll tell you that it's her way or the highway. And that's hard to cope with since she's the middle child :) Good thing for her, that my mother picks "favorites" and L. is Her "favorite" :) As far as L.'s Grandmother is concerned, she'll be the best official "protester" this side of the Mississippi. Grandparents!

Praise the Lord All! I just want to give honor where honor is due. The Best Grandparents Award goes to my parents: Grammy and Papa, for making this year the BEST birthday surprise Ever for my children. They flew many miles to our house to "surprise" the kids for their birthday this year. Every day was fun filled and power packed. It was so refreshing to visit with my parents. I love them so much. My husband and I were just about to start our first home remodel project, and thanks to my dear parents it went from just a kitchen remodel to A full Kitchen Facelift and a New Bedroom :) Gotta Love parents :) The kids had such a great time visiting with them too. Our two sons and our two daughters all had their fair share of attention from Grammy and Papa. They played in the ball pit, went swimming, spent the night in a hotel, enjoyed a surprise birthday party, and much, much more.
